What's the difference?

Between thrush and discharge? I've read its common to get discharge during pregnancy but I'm not sure what the difference is between it and thrush. Help please xx

I always know its thrush when it burns to have sex!! Gets itchy too xx

Thrush is a fungal infection whereas discharge is totally normal and acts like a protector against bad bacteria with thrush u get really itchy down below too its horrible I had it a few weeks ago pretty bad and had to get a course of the canesten pessary and cream which eventually cleared it up but I felt like I had ants in my pants! An increase in discharge in pregnancy is completely normal as long as its not a funny colour, smell etc x

Well I'm not itchy down there, so it must just be discharge. Just wanted to check before I brought it up with my doctor. Thanks girls xx

Yeah sounds like increase in discharge u would know if it was thrush trust me its so uncomfortable I had never had it before and as soon as it started I knew wot it was I was itching like mad! X

Yeh thrush is really itchy. You'd definitely know if you had thrush !!! Xx
