As some of you know I am adopting the baby led appraoch to weaning. I was pretty sure that Kathryn hadn't eaten anything but her nappies say different!

Yesterday her nappies were soiled about 3 times (not the normal 1 a day) and the poo had funny black stringy things in it- If I didn't know better I would have sworn she'd eaten some small black threads! (The rest of the poo was normal breast milk poo btw)

Is this normal? Is it something anyone else has come across? I tried to think what she'd eaten on Sunday- bread and avocado and some banana.

I'm not really worried- more intrigued!

BANANA! Its scary the first time you see it! It looks like they have worms! Bit defo the banana honey nothing to worry about! :rotfl:

Yep - it will be the banana.
Brocolli can look like this too.
I have found whole olives in charlotte's nappy, and undigetsred seeds from the bread. The seeds from kiwi also seem to make a impression on her bum (I mean physical indents)
and come out for days afterwards.
Oh - an if she has something tomaty (like spag bol) or alot of carrots its very orange!
I'll bet you never thought you would be examining someone elses poo as part of your day!!

The first time I saw banana come out in Evie's nappy I panicked! I was convinced she had worms! :rotfl:

I think I might get this experience tomorrow... Evie had some pudding with raisins in at nursery today... what do I expect?!
