whats inside a clear blue digital?

We know you shouldnt pull these tests apart however the other day my fiancee did one 12dpo and got a not pregnant. She was intrigued by how it worked so pulled it apart. On the inside was two test strips one with a control line with a faint line next to it and the other with just a faint line. So three lines in total. She is now 14dpo and still no sign of AF.

Has anyone by any chance been in this situation, If so what was the outcome and are these tests as accurate as they say?

I don't fully understand but the lines on a clear blue digi don't correspond to a normal test, they can be pretty accurate from what I have heard, but I only ever used then the day after af was due and then a few weeks later cos I wanted to see the increment
