What you do at home, what your OH and kids do to help

I do cooking, cleaning, hoovering, washing but hubby does help a lot as he does bin emptying, dishes after our tea and helps with the ironing a lot too

i do most things but they all have to do their bit.

I share with my husband. but I do more becasue he works full-time and I work part-time.

I do:
Cleaning
Cooking,
looking after my 10 month old Kenzo (feeding, bathing, etc.)
Laundry,
Washing up
Tidying up the house
I work 2 days a week

He does:
Well, work all day all week
Emptying the bins and taking them out
Hoovering
irons his own clothes, usually
Sometimes feeds Kenzo and sometimes, when I ask, does the washing up.

I do everything
The cooking, cleaning basically everything.

He may help with a little tidy round if his relatives are coming
Oh and he does the odd DIY job thats it.

I am not too fussed whilst on maternity leave however when i return to work things have got to be equal so he is in for one almightly shock

Men!!! Lol.
My OH isn't working at the mo! I managed to get him to cook 2 nights ago! It was the first time in 4 months that he's done it!

I can very occasionally get him to push the hoover around! But i have a habit of breaking it so he needs to do it more often! The last hoover set on fire when i was using it! Lol.

And i'm mid-packing, so i have extra to do while looking after the child!

It sounds like a couple of your OH's need a kick up the bahooky

  i do it all!!
walk the dog
cleaning
cooking
childcare
shopping
pet care
washing
bin emptying
make butties 4 work

occasionally DH dose his ironing!!

Being on my own I do everything.

Would be great to have some help at times but ive not got anyone to help me where I live.

Honestly Lisa i dont think they know how easy they have it. At least you got yours to cook, (any good? ) mine needs instructions on how everything is cooked so i might as well do it myself  I mean he comes in from work sits down with the bab for an hour or so, then I run LOs bath then he does bathe her. I dry and dress her and settle her to bed, then I cook us tea, whilst he sits onhis arse watching tellyor playing on the xbox.

Oh no tell a lie, he makes his lunch box up for work

If i have to i will be doing a rota, i cant do it all and go back to work fulltime :?

I do it all! But, 99% of the time, I don't mind. There are limits though...OH HAS to clean up after himself eg. making his own snacks after work = his mess, he cleans it up. Dirty laundry on the bedroom floor, I will leave for him to pick up.

I don't mind doing the general stuff but I'm not here to be his slave! :talkhand:

Before I had Jack rules were who ever cooks, the other washes up and we would have a big clean day together every couple of weeks, but now it's nice that we have weekends together without having to sit at home doing housework.

My OH works from home and so he keep the house generally tidy and has a meal ready for me for when I get home each evening. :) He doesnt do anything really hard though in my opinion, like he has never cleaned the bathroom (including the nasty soap scummy shower), never does any washing of clothes or ironing, never changes the sheets or put clothes away, has never cleaned the cooker, or mopped the kitchen floor. He finds it completely impossible to put items away, especially cutlery.

My weekend is spent doing these awful chores, his weekend is for chillout time! I think a lot men think this way. He does keep the living room very tidy though and is a very good cook, he will always sort out the minging bins too so I cant complain too much.

I would also like to add that he works 4 hours maximum from home, I work 8 hours a day and have to travel to and from work so Im out for about 9 hours of my day.

He knows how to cook, he's better at it than me, i'm crap! But it was just burritos, and meant reading the box, but i had to read it out to him!!! Then he threw the box on the floor, and had to go fetch it to read it again! Lol

He won't bath or change Angel. Sometimes he'll change her clothes!

He's good at playing with her when i want her to go to sleep! Lol.

I do everything apart from clean the dog mess up! I don't mind it sometimes.

I do EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING, and it's soul destroying after years of watching my mum do it all for my dad (even puts his clothes out!) cos I thought I wouldn't end up like her
I'm not sure if it's partly my fault for doing it without asking for help but I would love the odd break from the boredom of cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping, doing everything with kids, seeing to the bills, organising days out, doing all birthday and xmas stuff (and to think I used to do it all and work full time! no wonder I was permanently stressed!)

I think that was my problem. I just got on with it and didn't ask for help! And worked full time til i had the baby!

I hoovered up the day i came out of hospital!

I'm shocked really! Me and my OH split things equally when he is at home - obviously if he is at work I look after Fi and do what needs doing but when he gets home it's all equal. He's more than happy to hoover, clean, cook, tidy, sort and look after Fi!

As far as I'm concerned I 'work' too so that's the way it should be!

I do everything and i do mean everything EXCEPT OH will bath the kids and occasionally wash up,but he doesnt put anything away.

Ive always done it even when we both went out to work full time I would still do a 12hr day and then come home and do everything.he leaves at 6am and gets home about 7pm so i tend to have everything done by the time he gets home anyway
