I have a choice between 11 or 3.

I was planning on taking the 11am slot but im wondering what im then supposed to do all afternoon before our wedding breakfast starts. But then 3 seems quite late to fit in photos and a 3 course meal before 7.30.

Ive booked mine for 3pm.

That way after the service, photos etc by the time we get to the venue do welcome drinks, speeches etc it will be time to do the buffet.Saves the cost of having a sit down meal in the afternoon and of course gives you plenty of time to get ready beforehand.

I was married at 12pm and it was perfect. Ceremony till nearly 1pm, then time to mingle, drinks, photo's etc. Then we had dinner/speeches/cake etc and all that part was finished up by around 7pm. It fly's past. honestly I'd suggest you book 11am, will just give you the extra few minutes with friends/family after your married, my day flew past and am soooo glad it didn't all start later in the day, I'd have missed more if that makes sense. I'd opt for 11am without a doubt. It might sound like a lot of time but once you get there, it's not!!

I was kind of thinking that you pay so much money for 1 day you may aswell make it the whole day.

We're getting married at 3pm but we're only having a sit down meal, no evening buffet. We wanted it quite late so people wouldn't get hungry after the meal. They can have lunch before the wedding.

If you're planning a wedding breakfast and evening buffet I'd definately go for 11am :D

We were married at 2.15pm.... I wanted to be akward as everyone up here gets married at 2pm or 2.30pm, so I went for the middle :D

We got married at 4pm and then had "afternoon tea" of tea/coffee and scones at 5pm to tide us all over till our meal at 7:30pm. It was a good way of cost cutting so we didn't have to pay for 2 meals.

Im getting married at 2pm..this time..
Last time  , I got married at 3pm..we had a three course meal and buffet no problems..it was just the marriage that was shit :|

We got married at 10.30am. We went to the hotel after the ceremony for a champagne reception then had a 3 course meal. After that the guests mingled in the hotel bar until the evening disco and buffet started. They couldnt go home because I was an akward cow and got married in Anvil hall in Gretna Green lol.

about thesame as me e xcept our wedding was11am and we didnt get married in gretna green :rotfl: :rotfl:

2.30pm. I would never have got ready in time for a morning wedding, my hair took ages to straighten. But, I had an hours drive to the next town for the ceremony so had to leave by 1pm to be on time and do all the prewedding paperwork stuff before the ceremony.

1pm, which isn't much help as it's bang in the middle of yours.

We found we had time to kill so we had a sleep, but then we didn't have lots of people to chat to and guests to get round.

I think if I were in your position I'd go for 11am. You only get one special day so make the most of it and start early! Also you've then got an excuse to retire to bed early :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We got married at Midday ( well was meant to be midday but I was 20 minutes late even though I got ready in the hotel where the ceremony was held  :) )

This is the reason why we picked Midday/12.30 :)

The ceremony was over by 1.15ish and afterwards was filled with drinks, chatting and photos.

We had the wedding breakfast at about 4ish and then the evening party started at 7.30pm

The day goes soooooooo fast so I would pick 11am :)

Thanks ladies i was swaying towards 11 but i could push it back to 11.30 which gives me that extra half an hour to get ready.

Aww thats lovely although i don't agree with you

We got married at 5pm. We just had a night reception but still had all the normal stuff like top table and place settings and speeches. We had a buffet and disco.

Glad we did it at 5pm as it was thunder and lightening plus really heavy rain which just stopped at 4pm!
