I've had a few pops - sorry that's the only way I can describe it - and one butterfly type sensation in my stomach in the middle of the night but I don't get these feelings every day only every couple of days.
Is that normal?
S

this is becoming freaky. Not only are your symptoms similar to mine but you also ask the questions I wanna ask!!! :rotfl:
yes I've had the butterflies feeling and they come quite frequently actually. it's also a sensation that something is definately moving inside of you. I haven't started feeling proper kicks yet.

that's really reassuring for you. I'm worried that I'm not getting them often enough but off to midwife at 11 for my first appointment and it will be good to hear the heart beat. I'm probably fatter than you and have more flesh between skin and womb!! Harder for them to get through!
How are you doing otherwise?
S

PS I've had a lot of stretching pain recently. Have you?
S

yes my stretching pains are very frequent too. it's pain everywhere, hips, back, lower stomach... My breast have doubled in size and my nipples feel sore occasionally, but not too often. Apart from that I'm feeling ok, i was a bit tired over the past few days but that was because i had missed a couple of my pregnacare pills and my body had already got used to the iron in it so it affected my energy slightly but i'm back to normal now. also i still get pains when i sneeze

My babies kicks felt like pop corn poppin in my stomach at first. Its lovely! I didn't feel it everyday either. now my babies kicks are a bit stronger and I feel it everyday. I love feeling my baby its the nicest feeling! x x x x

I've just started feeling movement too. After the day is done and it's time to relax, I lay on the sofa and then after a few minutes it starts. Sometimes like a light tapping and sometimes like a wavey wiggly kind of feeling   Difficult to describe, but I'm sure you know what I mean

Fantastic though isn't it

Ah that's lovely. I've had a light tapping too. it describes it perfectly.
I read that our movement in the day lulls them to sleep so they don't get active until we relax in the evening/night time.

How many weeks are you S?

I didn't expect to feel movement this early, but it is my second, so I suppose that's why :)

Grrr mines not kicking everyday :( I wish it would, I find it so reasuring. I get it about 3 times a week if that!!! Lazy baby

At week 15/16, I was only experiencing popping sensations, but they got stronger and stronger as time went on, and then started feeling proper kicks.

Hi,

Popping is a great description of how the baby felt to me a couple of weeks ago. Mine is now really active, with proper kicks. I can even see my belly move when it kicks now. Its the best feeling in the world :D

Hi Ladies,

I haven't felt what I think are kicks yet. (2nd preg, DD is 9yrs) so thought I might feel something this week.

You know when you drive over a bump in the road and your 'tummy goes'? I get that feeling a few times a day which is really wierd. Do you think that might be movement of some kind?

Oooh, it's so exciting!
