what size of clothes did you LO wear to start off with?

Arianna was 7lb 7oz when she was born and she was in newborn for about 4-5wks, then went on to 0-3mths

One thing tho - you said you only put in 2 vests etc..... you will need more than that what with baby sick etc.

If I remember correctly I had 6 vest and 6 baby grows and Brian still had to take in more even tho I only stayed over one night.

Alex was in newborn at first but not for long. (he was 10lbs 1oz)

Lydia was in 0-3 and even some 3-6 right from the beginning. (she was 10lbs 10oz)

connor was 6lb 9oz at birth and only 6lb 8oz after 1 month - he was in tiny baby and newborn for quite a while. some of his 0-3 month clothes have only just started to fit! it depends on the make...

i had to go out and buy loads of new clothes for him cos i never thought he'd be (and stay) quite that tiny so hadn't really got anything that little for him.

My son was 8lb1 and 55cm. 0-3 months was baggy on him. So, had to buy some newborn for him to wear for 1-2 weeks.

Both my babies were tiny but heavy, i seem to have odd babies that are heavier than they look! They were both 8lb 12

Isla was in tiny baby for 4 weeks then pretty much went up the sizes at the right times. ie 3-6 at 3 months.

Morgan is dinky now as he never gained much weight, he fitted newborn for 8 weeks, then went into 0-3 at 2 months, he is 3 and ahalf months now and is between 0-3 and 3-6 months , most of the 3-6 is huge on him as he is so skinny.

Defo need to pack about 6 sleepsuits and 6 vests at least, i was in for 5 days as we had problems and got through about 15 vests and sleep suits!! They were both sick all the time.

Mine is still in premature/tiny baby clothes at 4 weeks

He was 5lbs 15oz born though

Maddison was only 4lbs 15oz when born and MW had to put her in dolls clothes while my hbby went out to find prem baby clothes for her (she wasnt premature though, just really little). She was in prem clothes for a couple of weeks then into tiny baby

we had one or two newborn sleepsuits but he mainly worn 0-3 straight away, he was 8 Ib 12 at birth and very long!

James was 5lb 15oz, the newborn clothes were too big. He was in tiny baby clothes for a couple weeks.

Logan was 8lb 13oz, the 0-3 month fitted him but the arms and legs were a bit long. The newborn fitted him perfectly for about a month. He'll have outgrown the 0-3 months very soon

Lucy was 6lb 14oz and she was in Tiny Baby clothes, ASDA's seemed to fit her best.

Mine Lo was 7lb 1oz but she's quite petite. Most of the newborn stuff are too big for her so we are now buying a few tiny baby outfits. My hospital bag had newborn stuff in it and although they were too big they were'nt overally ridiculous.

I think shop sizes vary so much!
All mine were in newborn at birth!
But any tesco clothes had to be Small baby! (Their newborn is 11lbs, small baby 7.5lbs) even though my 2cd son was 8lb7 and DD was 8lb9!
They all got into 0-3 after about 6-8 weeks!

He's only just gettng out of newborn sleepsuits but still wearing newborn and up to one month clothes

melissa was 7lb 7oz at birth and wore newborn size until she was well over a month old. she was about 9lb 5oz when she was 5 weeks old i think. started wearing 0-3 months around then.

altho sizes vary- i still have a tank-top from next, size NEWBORN- which STILL FITS MY ONE-YEAR-OLD! she's 22lbs now that thing still fits
