what should i do?

What should I do about work? I was off all last week baring in mind. And I do activities in a care home. I still have a cold and cough and sickness. But I've also lost my voice and loss of hearing in one ear. I have no energy and still feel rubbish. X

I wouldnt go back!!

If I have an ear infection or blocked ear I dont go. And if you have not recovered fully it wont be good.

OH said to go in and let them see how bad I am. But I shouldn't have to prove that way. I'm not fully recovered at all. And with germs and stuff in the care home isn't good either I guess. I cant hear a thing properly xx

Oh deffo.

If you have any kind of infection your best off. If your throat n ears are sore its probably an infection.

Go to your gp for a sick note. They cant do anything about illness pregnancy related and a low immune system is a factor.

Have you been signed off? You can't go back especially if you're being sick

You'd be best to see the doctor and get signed off. I think you can only self certify yourself for a week?

I've not had a full week as such, I've had 5 working days off. 2 days last week were my normal days off. If that would make a difference xx

You can only self certify for 7 calendar days regardless of your working pattern x

So how do I get signed off? I've never done it before xx

You have to go to your GP and they will complete a fit to work form (saying you are not fit for work) which you can give to your work place.

As above just get an appointment at your GP and they'll give you a fit note x
