guys im so lost at the mo.

Coby has had 7, 7oz bottles today and two meals!

He is just so hungry all the time, i dont ant to give him anymore soilds, and i cant give him anymore milk coz he gets sick.

what can i do??

i would personally put him on hungry baby milk, matthew drinks about 30ozs a day and has started having baby rice, it just helps keep them full. I was fed up of constantly putting a bottle on to warm and soon as they are settled they want feeding again it might also help with him being sick as he wont want or need to eat so much

Jack has been on that since 10 weeks old (SMA white), he needed it.

just dont like the idea of him piling on loads of weight, but i guess every baby is diffrent and it does sound like he needs it.

layla, he won't "pile on the weight" from the hungry baby milk. it has the same calories as the "normal" milk, but more of a type of protein which takes longer to digest, so they feel full for longer.

have to say, it doesn't seem to keep ruben full for longer though... lol, the greedy boy!

Layla, I was told by my HV to give her boiled water (that's cool and drinkable obviously) cause some times they get really thirsty too.

Like your LO Bex can eat for Scotland, and she is a heavy baby which makes me concerned.....

 

Maybe he is feeding out of habit and he might not need it? Try giving substituting a bottle of milk for a bottle of water if you don't want to try hungry baby milk? Or give him juice if he won't drink water, I know Damien won't!!

Layla, I'd put him on the hungry baby milk instead of more food. Like Petchy said the calories are the same, whereas if you give more food he'll be getting more calories.

The thing is though Layla he is still going to put weight on with all the milk he is drinking. How many hours is he going between feeds??

If you put him on hungrier baby milk he may go longer between feeds and have less amounts.

he is going 3 hours between feeds, used to be 4.

he is wakeing up twice a night now.

i will go and get a small tin of the second milk today and try him on it.

The HV told me if they started waking in the night they neeed more than milk, but you are already feeding him solids.

yeah already giving him 2 lots of soilds, breakfast and dinner, dont want to give him lunch aswell, think that will just over load him.

I dont know where he puts it all! lol
