What is the scan for day 10 - 12 when taking clomid?

Calling all clomid experts......

As the title says just wondering?
As I am away on my baby moon from days 10 - 12 so wont be able to have this scan.

Is it really necessary??

Also it says on the leaflet, after the scan they will tell you the best time to have intercourse.

When I have fallen pregnant before it has always been on days 10 or 12 , so i know this the best time for me??????

Also I am still about 9 1bs overweight, it says it works better if you are not underweight or overweight. Do you think my weight will be a problem - im really healthy just cant seem to budge these pounds (but starve myself).
Was wondering if first cycle doesnt work, should i lose some more weihght before trying again?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!Thanks ladies xxxx

to see if you have any follicles and to date your OV , i suppose it is deffo necessary on the 1st cycle to see how the Clomid is working for you, either too many follicles or none x x x

yes I suppose it is important then!

How were your follicles on your first scan? Did you have to have one for every cycle?

Yes on my first cycle i had one follicle , they can tell you approx when you will ov, on my 2nd i think i had 2 and 3rd 4 , 4th 2 again then they didnt bother scanning again x

I feel ok silly me sometimes thinks that they all got it wrong and that i could still be pregnant ( i suppose everyone likes to think that) even though my rational self knows its not true. x

I went for my scan and had one folicle but as the ovulation test was negative i got to go again 2 days later wher they sid if i wasnt going to ovulate in the nxt 24 hours they would give me an injection, luckily i didnt need it, i also had to have a blood test as thats the only way to see for sure if you ovulate but this was my first cycle of clomid so not sure if they do it every time xx

yes its all very normal to feel like that, you just want it so much, cant believe you got it, then so cant believe you lost it again. Its very emotional nds you are trying so hard to be strong and carry on.

Thank you so much , i'm glad i'm not crazy . I'm going to do a cheap test to make sure its all out of my system, is that a good idea?? , can you call and arrange your scan for the day before you go, they will still be able to see and predict growth and ov x

Hiya corinne! how you doing? i agree with Kirsty its a good idea to have the scan, there is a slight chance you could be overstimulated by the clomid and also its good to know it's working. Can you book it in for just before you go away? Good luck i hope clomid is your wonder drug xxx

I did suggest that to the hospital but they said day 8 is too early (which is day we go).
