 hello girls, I need your advise again. I am working full time and don't seem to have many problems coping with it as yet. However, as soon as I get home every night I collapse on the sofa and put my feet up. Over the past few nights I have been getting really sharp and repeating pains in to my lower area and my belly was getting really hard at these times. I don't know what it is and why it happens at night. I am getting a bit worried

It sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. If your really worried, just ask your midwife.

i would say it is the pressure of baby getting bigger now, they have a habit of resting on bits that hurt

i always find that if i overdo things, i get more pains, like yesterday i went shopping with a friend and walked quite a way through town with heavy bags and in the end couldn't walk any further and kept getting sharp pains under bump so i stopped and that seemed to sort it, i did feel more pains than usual all evening though so i guess was bodys way of saying stop and feet up now please!!

It could be braxton hicks.

Did your work do a risk assessment on you? If they did it might be worth asking them to review it as they should be doing so as your pregnancy progresses anyway or at least speak to your manager.

The only thing is with Bh's they shouldnt be painful, they are just tummy tightenings and although a bit uncomfortable not painful and not that low down
