Hi all me and my partner r trying to conceive and for the first time this month I have a hell of a lot of thick white/tint of yellow cm in my knickers! No BFP yet but I'm not totally sure how long my cycles are due to irregular periods! Could this be a good sign of pregnancy? No other symptoms like itching or smell so don't think it's an infection Thanks in advance xx

I've read that thick white cm is a good indication but can't unfortunately guarantee that you are pregnant. Yellow might be a sign of infection so just check if you experience other symptoms like burning or itching. FX :dust:

Thanks for replying there's no other signs to indicate infection x

Don't know if I'm just clueless, but I don't even know what my CM is like most of the time. Only time I ever notice anything is when it's clear and watery and that's only from my underwear being damp. Sorry if TMI!
Is there any other way you check your CM or maybe I just don't have any which is why it's making it so difficult TTC ??? So confused lol

Trust me, we are ALL clueless in the beginning!

Just remember that checking CM might seem 'gross' in the beginning but that's only because you are new at it. After a while you will start to realize that checking your CM gives you valuable information about where you are in your cycle.

The usual pattern of CM is;
Dry - Sticky - Creamy - Watery - Eggwhite

After your period and for some women, after ovulation you will be dry. As estrogen builds up in your system your CM changes to a more sperm friendly texture. Some women, after O have loads of creamy CM (this can also be an early pregnancy sign).
