I got a phonecall today from the hospital tellling me that I could have a specialist appointment on 9th November.

I was referred by my doctor back in August  because I stopped my pill in January and did not have a period at all from January to August .

However, whilst I've been waiting for my appointment I had a 12 hour bleed on 11th September and then a 4 day bleed from 11 October .

Question is, should I go for my appointment still? Was it just coincidence that the cycle was 30 days apart and could it disappear as soon as it appeared? :eh:

Dunno what to do? Maybe they will scan me or something and I would be interested to know that my body is all in good working order. Mmmmh :oooo:

What do you all think I should do?

I would still go, cant hurt to be checked out. x

i'd still go! without wanting to jinx you, it could all be conicidence and you could do with finding out why you didnt bleed for so long anway! maybe they might scan you and there's a baby in there

I would still go hun, goodluck x x

Hmm, i dunno to be honest.

If all he is going to do is look specifically at where you AF has gone, i'm not sure what you could learn seeing that it is back.

Is there anyway that you could postpone the appointment until after the 11th or whenever you are due your next AF?

Then if it goes missing again at least you have something to work with when you go and see him.

I dunno, they phoned me whilst I was asleep after night shift so I didn't have a very long conversation with them. I'm going away on 10th - when AF is due so it'd have to be after 18th. I'm just thinking that I've waited so long for it that if I pass up on it I might jinx myself. Bugger it actually - I have paid for my NHS for 14 years and never had speciallist referral in that time, they owe me :-)

It can't hurt and even if AF is back for good it can't hurt for the docs to confirm that.
Good luck x

I'd go too, you never know, they might be able to tell you something you never knew before.
It can't do any harm, can it?

lol, that is indeed very true :)

I was talking to a women that worked at my local fertility treatment and i was asing about Nhs vs private and she was making out the Nhs was the better option which confused me and she told me that she just hates peple to miss out on what they are entitled to.

exactly! I'd be gutted if I didn't go and then AF was a no show for ages again, I'd rather it be this way round, that I do go and everything is normal

I think you're doing the right thing. Better to go, you can mention the fact that one lasted for 12 hours and one for four days. They should be able to let you know whether that's because things are getting back into working order or can check if they think they need to.

Like you said, you've paid for it. ;)
