What do you reckon to.....

Max or Ryan? I'm English (my dad is Scottish) and my hubby is Italian. We live in Italy so it has to be something simple enough to pronounce properly in all languages and something which is relatively easy to spell (so things like Sean etc are out). Max and Ryan are the only 2 we can actually agree on and hubby wants to add his late father's name (Luigi) as a middle name. I don't really like the name but the sentiment is lovely.
Opinions please (am open to new suggestions too!).
I also love Charlie but my grandad and my uncle are Charlie and maybe it would piss off the other side of the family if I was seen to be leaning towards the other side).

Hmmm - Max sounds horrid in my head but nice when i say it I like the name Ryan too.

I think most one syllable names would be ok as long as they didn't have silent letters

Ryan doesn't exist in Italian, whereas Max could be Massimo officially (so if he doesn't want to be different he can use his Italian name).
Ben and Jack are nice too but Ben in Italian comes from Benito (as in Mussolini) and I'm not sure that's the best start in life!

Francesco is one of the most popular names here along with Andrea, Stefano and Alessandro.
Not too keen on Frank, but thanks anyway x
