Ok, so i'm not actually ttc anymore, but i'm concerned about things in the future.

Ok, lemme explain...

Past day 100 of this cycle. I know i haven't posted in a while, but if anyone remembers me you may remember i came off the pill in december, had my "pill period", you know the fake bleed, and i've only have on proper period since. My first cycle off the pill was 52 days, and this one, like i said, is past day 100. I haven't tested since this time last month, but i still doubt i'm preg.

Right, so I went to the nurse for my new patient appointment just after taking a test last month, and she asked the doc for me and she said he said that blah blah cycles are irregular for the over 6months off the pill.

But these aren't irregular cycles, these seem to be non existant. Ppl have told me to go back to the doc and ask directly, but how do i get him to listen to me? He'll just say all that stuff again i know it.

So since my new patient appn i've decided to go back to uni, so stop ttc. Its hard but i know its the right thing to do. But the reason i'm concerned about my cycle is a) because i need it to get back to normal so i can get some kinda contraception sorted out (gotta go to the docs bout that too. dont wanna go back on the pill. and alternatives you'd recommend? other than condoms cause we hate them ^^; ) and b) because its making me worry about my fertility for when i do want to stop ttc again. Yeah, i'm paranoid.

Sorry i only ever seem to post here when i need advice. I'll try to post more often, but its hard because i'm on the verge of giving in and ttc again -_-

Also sorry if this has loads of typos in it. I burnt my finger earlier, lol.

Hi Gaby

It might be worth thinking about buying the toni weschler book 'taking charge of your fertility' which tells you how to use charting as a method of contraception.

That way you would know exactly what your cycles were doing and whether you were Oing or not for when you do want to conceive and would only need to use condoms when you were actually fertile- which by the sound of your last 100d cycle isn't that often at the moment.

At least your body would be ready for ttc when you are ready then and all that nasty pill should have gone

Mmm, sounds like an idea fothers, thanks. but i'd rather have something more reliable. i'm sure its perfectly reliable if you get it right, but i'd be stressed with uni and would probably forget to chart or something x_x

can you change your doctor?

I would get a second opinion, if you havent had af for 5/6mths you wont know where to start i would have thought? I would go to the GP and if they dont help then request to see someone else.

I guess i have no idea which doctor the nurse asked. I'll just have to hope if the doc does say all that same stuff again i'm not too shy to say "no, excuse me but i dont think it is" lol
