My little boy was sleeping pretty good through the night for a couple weeks after cc. only waking once for bottle.

He now has norovirus for 3 weeks, which I understand may be part of it, but hes fine in himself.

He keeps sitting up in the middle of the night!

and I mean, this can happen 6 times a night! .. he sits there and crys, till I go in lay him back down and put his blanket back over him.
Once he wakes for a feed. althought this has been minimal.

Anyone had any experience with his? do I leave him? is it something thatll pass? .. I need sleep! lol x

After checking that there's nothing wrong I would leave him to cry.

My son is a sod for waking and standing at the end of his cot. I just open the door and stand there now and he goes and lies back down and covers himself back up!

Illness knocks sleeping off so quick :-( if cc worked for you before and like you say, he's better in himself, once your sure it's nothing else I would leave him. My lo will do the same but I know when it's just from tiredness I'll leave her and check on her once in a while and she tends to lie down herself x

Yeah I think I may wait till illness has passed, although I don't want to be creating any habits.
It seems to be after watching a couple of times, when hes rolled over to sleep on his belly, instead of rolling back onto his side/back. He sits up. Hence the 6 times a night!

Dreading him learning to stand up in there ! lol. He just tends to flop forwards at the mo, so would have to go and lay him down once asleep anyway.
xx

Since standing S has always sat down herself too so don't get too worried. She's really unwell just now and I've just been doing what she needs. I know that whatever 'habits' she gets into I'll sort out when she's better. X

True. Don't want to go being harsh on him when he's ill. Docs advised me could go on for 4 to 6 weeks so im in for a long one! x

Julie, id ride the illness and do what's needed for him to feel comforted and then once he's full better go back to your usual routine and cc if needed.

I don't do cc but my lo has had various colds and things recently and I've even co-slept with him during this and we are now getting back to a normal sleep routine again. He's stopped waking in the night now so we're just reworking on self settling to sleep. At 7 months there really is no such thing as bad habits. You'd be surprised at how quickly they adjust back.
