of having a natural birth after having an emergancey caeserean in the past following a complicted pregnancey and not having to use forceps ( i downright refuse to have the used I'd rather be cut open again!)

I really want a natural birth, possibly a water birth, but I keep getting told by a few people that chances are I wont be able to, is this true? x x

Im not sure doodles...I have heard that a natural birth may be harder. Probably best ask in one of the pregancy/birth boards as many of us in ttc are first time wanna-be's!

Unless there is reason for them to do a c-section, eg with me I bled internally and weakened my arteries so can't go through a natrual labour again, they try and let you go natrually. If you had a complication first time round that would affect any future pregnancies they would have told you, they did with me.

I'd like to know this too, my last delivery was one baby vaginally with episiotomy and forceps and the second emergency section under general anaesthetic. Just out of interest, why do you object to forces so much? x

thanks all

cosmicgirl, it's after an article I read hun where a little boy was left severly brain damaged & blind in one eye as a result of forceps, plus I just don't agree with using what are pretty much salad tongs to pull my baby out of my foof by his head. It's something I feel really strongly against x

Oh right, fair enough, they saved my babies life with forceps so I cant knock them xx

if i was to need themi would prefer forceps to vontouse. 2 of my cousins needed that and they both had big bruises and scabby heads for months. but hopefully you wont need to worry.

I'd never say never to any intervention, it might just save babies life, my little man is proof of that. Had his brother not been helped out with forceps, he would have died behind him xx

A vontous is the sucky thing yes lol. I agree cosmic, they only do these things if there is an absoloute need to!
