I just wondered - a lot of the car seats (0+) say that they are suitable up to 29lbs............so realistically around how old would a baby of 29lbs be?
I thought that most first car seats were aged 0-9months but it all depends on size and weight of baby, just maybe when baby starts to get around 20lbs look at buying a new carseat
Kaiden is 11 months and hes 27/28lb now, my sister baby is 14 months and weighs about 21lb so their all different, il have to look at kaidens i wasnt aware there was weight restrictions, im sure his says 6 months to 4 years XkelX
Thanks everyone....I know its one of those kind of questions that doesn't have a defintive answer....the reason I asked is that MIL was looking for a travel system today (don't know why as she knows we've chosen one and my dad is buying it but y'know ) and she has decided that the one that she saw (which isn't the one we're getting) would only last for 3 months, so decided to tell us that my dad was getting the wrong one when she didn't even ask which one we were getting just remembered it was by Graco
I thought that maybe 6-9 months would be what we would expect, and all the baby seats I've seen are up to 29lbs so I thought how could the seat be redundant after 3 months?!
Also, she said we can't keep the baby in it all the time - time limit 2 hours! Well, what does she think we're gonna do make her sleep in it all night!!
Ellis is nearly 6 months and has too squeeze in his travel system car seat now. I ordered a new car chair yesterday but had to get a 9month up one cos he weighs about 20lb
