Toddler gym first thing this morning, my boys first session in this age group and he went mental, he just wanted to go on the equipment not sing and dance in a circle with a feather on his arm!!! In the end he threw such an epi that I put him in the reception on time out chair. He screamed the whole time, in the end I burst into tears, all the other mums were looking at me like WTF you cant control your child. The staff there were amazing. In the end it was OKish but my child clearly does not have the attention for it, I am really strong on discipline as I have to be, he is ful on but still, the other kids were all lovely and doing what they were told even though they were clearly younger.

THEN, when we are leaving a toddler group this afternoon, he runs to the car, me trying to shut the door so he didnt climb in the wrong side as he likes to pretend to drive, I shut his fingers in the car door , Im now running with him screaming in my arms, back into the toddler group, cant get them to answer the door, then rinse his fingers under the cold tap, which makes him cry more. Then go back to the car...where I hit his head on the door whilst trying to comfort his crying! FFS!!!!!!!!! :wall2::wall2::wall2::wall2:

when we get out the car at home he runs to the car door and I nearly did it again!!!!

I feel like Ive spent most of the day in pain from under my rib and crying

Oh Gem, sounds like you've had a right day of it. :hugs:

You're a fab mum so don't beat yourself up, accidents happen and I bet the other mums make loads of mistakes so they've no right to look down their noses at you.

All I can say is get hubby to take over tonight, have a long soak in the bath and just chill out in your pyjamas and try and relax.

x

Aw hun   time for you to chill out this evening, tomorrow is a new day x

oh thank you both, feeling really tearful as I type. Just had someone view the house and she said "I dont like the colour on the walls in the kitchen" I said that was fine but its a taste thing and paint doesnt cost a lot. Then she said "is that all the storage there is...the one cupboard under the stairs?" and I replied "well yes, apart from the garage, the double fitted wardrobe, the airing cupboard, the double eaves storage AND 24 kitchen cupboards" i said it all really nicely but just feel like crying :-( sorry what a proper "poor me" thread xxx thanks for listening both of you I really appreciate your responses x

 hun you are heavily pregnant with a l/o who decided to be a wee monkey today, followed by the finger-trapping saga followed by a snotty viewer. I think you are entitled to feel a bit grumpy. Can you do some de-stressing stuff tonight like have a nice long bubble bath and pamper yourself a little bit followed by a nice hot choc before bed? I swear no matter how bad I feel that sort of thing always makes me feel a bit brighter x

good idea, husband home now, I had dinner ready so they could go have a bath and I could just watch telly. Feel like I want to get get some maternity pjs and hot chocolate :)
xxx

what a day! hope you got into some cosy pjs and made yourself a hot choc and tried to forget all about it! xxx
