Weird names...

My mum named my brother Ieuan - which might not seem like a weird name to the Welsh, until its pronounced and find she just made up her own pronunciation, so he is known as yay-un, which isn't even a real name

If it helps it is actually pronounced like 'yey-an' so it isnt far off!

Omg i work in sales, and a customer had a child called Philidelphia.... no joke.

My little cousin was called cinderella!
XxX

I love Irish names, i liked Caiomhe (excuse spelling if it's wrong) but no one else I spoke to like it x

How do you 'say' caiomhe? coz Niamh is Neeve and i love it but the spelling is odd, is Caiomhe like that?

We are having Alice or Leo :) But there not that strange really (well i don't think so) i can't stand people who call there kids names just for the attention of it, especially when its something thats been done 100 times over like storm or rain.
A woman i know called her daughter Tehya which could be nice but its yorkshire so pronounced tear - Like 'tear up a peice of paper' so thats all i think of. :S

Kinda like K We Va im usless with typing pronounciations lol

I loved Niamh, but fob couldn't pronounce it, let alone say it  I have to say, there's a really popular name ATM which I really dont like, scarlet (No offence to anyone with a scarlet!) i know a few babies called it, my niece is a scarlet! Usually names grow on me, but this one never has!

LOL I never realised Niamh was a werid one , Gues its all what ya used to

I have Rayna for a girl on my list and get funny looks what use think girls nice or weird?

If Vincent were a girl, he would have had Ileana as a middle name. Which is my own name, and which no one, including my husband, can pronounce.

I know a Paul Rayna who goes by Rayna so it will always be a bit of a masculine name for me!! Probably good without that connetation though

I like Rayna but must admit the first thing I think of is Clair Raynor, agony aunt, sorry ;) x

Josh wanted his little brother (still tcc) to be called spongebob. Lol, kids eh?

Thankfully iv never heard of Claire Rayna, The only think that puts me off is being a liverpool fc fan and the keeper being pepe reina so afraid people will say thats who I called her after lol

My Mum used to work in a school where there were two siblings named Charlie and Jamie. This often caused confusion, as the staff in the office weren't sure if they were boys or girls. They were, in fact, both girls.......this is maybe not so strange in itself, but things got stranger when their little brother joined the school......just so there was no confusion, his name was 'Boy'!

I know someone who called their daughter Filoxin. Which I thought sounded a lot like a contraceptive pill!!
