Such as hoodia, lipobind, adios?

Anyone had any exprience with them. Are they worth the money?

Also my dad has offered to get me an appetite suppressant from a local 'gym'.
He said the were called energyn I think and athletes take them when they have gained too much weight.
He said its £10 for 100 and they can make you feel 'whizzy'.

What do you think?

I think you should stay away from appetite suppressants and other weight loss drugs, as they can be very very dangerous.
Especially the kind which makes you feel "whizzy". With a good diet and exercise there is no need for drugs.

In the best case these pills don't contain any active ingredients and are just a waste of money, in the worst case you'll end up taking some kind of amphetamine which can be very dangerous to your health.

legal shop-bought diet pills are a big fat con- they are either diuretics (just make u piss more) such as adios, or they are some random herbal thing which doesnt work except maybe as a placebo effect (u think its working so u sub-consciously eat less)

illegal diet pills will most likely be amphetamine. i can bloody tell you now first hand amphetamine does make u super skinny! but its very very dangerous, and if used long term u can just end up fat afterwards (like kerry katona's mum, a former amphetamine addict)

u may even get hold of pills which are just tapeworm eggs (euw!) and end up with worms in ur guts, yuck!

stay away from da pills! :D

I would stay away too. I'm very wary of anything like that.

A healthy diet and exercise is the safest way to go I think. Also the weight will stay off longer ;)

The pills he's talking about from the gym are Ephedrine (pronounced effadrin)
They are a banned substance sold only on the blackmarket. They are kind of a half way between caffeine and amphetamines.
They definitely suppress your appetite and raise your metabolism, so you burn more nervous energy. But they can make you edgy, anxious, have racing heart and the jitters. You can get dependent on them fairly easily and get mood swings if you take them over a continued period.

being in the gym industry Ive used them A LOT and while they are good at first its waaaay too easy to take more and more.......i havent touched them for years now and to be honest I am finding it just as easy to get in shape without them, and feel a lot healthier and happier!

Anything you can buy legally ...pretty much a waste of money. The only answer is diet and exercise im afraid!

I've tried almost everything in the book tbh.
Most before I was 18!

As above, Ephedrine is best steered clear of... take my word for it please.

No diet pill works. I don't care what the adverts say. Lipobind is a waste of money, Adios is just a silly placebo, I 've tried all types of fat burners which were silly and the last one I used was... Bio Synergy Body Perfect fat burner which I bought.... in ARGOS. They didn't work. Surprisingly.

Sorry to say it. Healthy diet and exercise is the only way .

Me too tried a ephedrine a few times, really made me ill but goddamit i was sticking with them! As it happened i didnt really lose any weight and was wired for weeks whilst using them (whizzy as you described, not nice).
good luck with it allx
