Ok so I dunno if this sounds a bit dumb or not, but what do you do when you're out for the day if your baby is under 6 months? Cos obviously before 6 months you still have to sterilize all their feeding equipment right?
And what do you do about warming up the food and all the mess etc?

I'm sticking to bottles whilst he's out and about, giving him his solids at home although that's probably the cowards way out

Yeah if I've been out for a short while I've just given her food a little bit later. But me and OH are planning a day trip out somewhere next week while he has a week off. And now she's sort of getting into the swing of things I don't want her to go all day without anything ikywim. x

Well u could sterilise her spoons and put them in a container, take a jar/sachet of food and feed directly out of that to save on a bowl. Then use one of the bibs with sleeves for muck limitation lol

Oh god I'm dreading it haha. I've got visions of her flinging it about the place haha. I've never sat her in a high chair either although I suppose I could feed her in her pram now she's forward facing.

just feed driectly out of the pouch, that way you don't have to worry about temp etc and i bring 3 spoons with me in a bag. re the mess, i bring the tommee tippee teat wipes with me as i usually give the high chair a quick wipe with them anyway.

i really wouldn't feed in the pram - that would take ages to clean!!

i make sure that all the toys in my changing bag are those that can be given a wipe clean or go in the dishwasher as well!!

the first time is the worst!! a bib with sleeves is ideal, once i forgot and took her top and and fed her in her vest!

I used to sterilise spoons and put them in a small Tupperware box that could be sterilised too. I used to put food into little containers with lids that could also be sterilised, and feed straight from there. I use the Tommee Tippee wipes on the dummy if it falls on the floor and to clean the beaker before I put it back in the changing bag.
