My daughter is 10.5 months so a little way off yet but I was aiming to get her on cows milk at 12 months, but how do I do it?! My HV has been less than helpful. She currently only nurses just before bed, she's dropped all the other feeds naturally. So what do I do with the bedtime feed? Give her cows milk on her first birthday instead?! Or if I was to carry on feeding her muself, when would she be likely to drop the feed?

I am looking forward to having my boobs back, she's got some sharp little teeth in there and I'm keen for her to grow a stronger bond with grandparents by staying over night.

I would probably give her a bit of both to start with, ie give her some whole milk in a cup or bottle (whatever you decide) and then if she has a bit of that then give her a breastfeed then gradually increase the whole milk and decrease the breastfeed. But I would start off with the whole milk each time.

I managed to wean two feeds a day to two cups of whole milk over the course of 10 days.

If she doesn't like the taste of whole milk you may have to express breast milk and mix with whole milk. But I found my boy wasn't bothered and didn't mind the taste.

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of that, thank you!
