I think I have an infection, it stings when I pee and I had a little trouble peeing too.
I have started to dose myself up with cranberry juice and will continue to do so until Thursday when I am seeing the gp and will mention it to him if still a problem :(

Heya, water infections are quite common in pregnancy, well for me anyway! Try to rest and make sure it doesnt go to your kidneys (which it did me)
Could you see GP any sooner?

Tasha x

Nope just checked and thursday is the soonest appointment avaliable :(

I'd prob go to A and E hun to get some antibiotics xxx

I would if it gets any worse, I went in just before xmas and was put on antibiotics, 2nd lot since conception
Hope your ok hun and keep in contact,

Tasha x

When i was pregnant last time i had a water infection so i phoned Cu doc and said i was pregnant and should i come straight through or wait and they said come straight through to get anti biotics...but if you wanted to wait i don't think it would be a problem xx

It doesnt seem quite as bad at the moment so hopefully the crsnberry juice is sorting me out!
I will see how it is tomorrow and if it is worse will call and see if i can get an emergency app if not i will just wait for thursday, its not that far away now anyway.

If you have an infection now lousie don't drink cranberry juice! It's good for prevention, not cure as it's far too acidic, just plain water love x

I had a water infection in my 1st preg at 11 weeks and I didn't even know. The mw called me to tell me and I cried and cried. I didn't know how common it was. I took antibiotics and was non the wiser really.

I thought cranberry juice was fine? As when i used to feel one coming on i used to drink a few glasses and it would go.

I thought cranberry juise was best too - hey whatever works! Hope you feel better soon chick x

If you have an actual infection cranberry juice won't cure the problem, however it is good to prevent the infection forming in the first place. I thought I had an infection coming a few weeks ago as I was sore below, it turned out to be thrush which was equally unpleasant. Hope it doesn't get worse hun xxx water infections are so nasty x

I know how you feel rachael! I've been drinking pretty much nothing apart from loads of water because it was a bit uncomfortable peeing too, but I got a phonecall 2 days ago from the midwife to say I had a uti so I'm now on antibiotics. Hope it clears up for you soon. :) also I see you have your reassurance scan tomorrow - hope it all goes well hun, I have my dating scan ultrasound thing tomorrow as well :) xxx
