Update
someone has cancelled their sessons so Esme gets to be a fully fledged waterbaby on thursday

........................................................................................................................

Right DH has agreed that we can do it (im sooooo excited I could pee!!)

I know the prices for the sessions, but how much are the photos as Im slightly suspicious that the website mentions cost and price and that its really affordable but not what the prices actually are.

I know how expensive professional photos can get sooooo....

Will I need to re mortgage to pay for them?

Just texting my friend she's an instructor for Swim Babes (same as Water Babies just different company) they use a company called Urchin Rock for their underwater photos, as soon as she replied I will post.

Forty quid for the photo session and then £25 for each 6x4 print, bigger prints are available and price goes up to reflect. I think you may need a small loan for that little lot

Thanks for that

Hmmmmm I think sod it at the moment its a once in a life time thing i suppose :D

did you see my post yesterday about underwater photos?!

I had some done, I paid £25 for the sitting and then paid a total of £100 for 7 7x6 photos! the an extra £20 for a hugeeeee one!

its not cheap but its an experiance well worth it and photos that you wil look back on and treasure!

mine are the centre feature of my lounge and always get comments even by people who have seen em already!

were abouts are you???

Thanks for all the PM's

I have booked for us to go in march sod the cost its an investment in my eyes

i could have started today (which would have been ideal for my impatient ways) but esme has a stinking cold so March it is :cheer:

We've just done a WB photoshoot and it was £45 just for the shoot and the prices for the prints started at £22.99 for a 6x4 up to £99.99 for a 30x40. Canvas started at £219 for a 20x16 and went up to £319.99 for a 24x30.

So in reply to your question, yes you will need to remortgage 8)

Get the smallelst one and scan it in and get a canvas yourself ;) Thats what we'll be doing when the session comes up ;)

I think its so expensive as they have to pay for the photographer, pool and equipment. Not a cheap thing :(

Aw no at least he is still going, can you practice in a regular pool with him on other days? I was thinking about this today as I will want to show DS what his lil sis will be learning.

I used take chester pro lessons once a week and once I got confident I would take him on my own!! the looks on other peoples faces though as you ''drown'' your baby is a picture! but a good conversation starter!!!!

your not butting in tell me your stories as Im really excited and cant wait so hearing them makes me happy

I can imagine what people would say to that

:D Cant wait to be seeing your tales!!

When I first took chester swimming, it wasnt that popular it was just me and the teacher for 45 mins which was cool!! after half hour she said right shall we dunk!! I said er ok then...carry on Ill just erm watch from over here!!! :D Once he had done it once and I learnt the technique it was great!

My fav thing to do, which he loved, Ill try my best to expalin, was to hold him with my hands on his waist, back to me, the top of his head was level with my neck we would then go stand by the edge of the pool, I would then bend my knees go straight under then kick off the side, so I would be swimmin near the bottom with him jst under me des that make anyy sense? As he got older he would start kickin to, my times my belly got wacked  But to see his smiling face as he turned to me as we surfaced was amazing!
Like I said in previous post when doing it in a public pool, you do get some funny looks! But he had fun so I didnt care!!!

That sounds great, how many sessions did you take him to?

I had 6 sessions then had a break then booked up for more as he got older, we did 3 courses in total and he ended up with 3 swimming certificates by the time he was 9 months to say I was proud is a huge understatment!!!

Yeah I'll be taking him swimming to keep it going but I am a swimming teacher too ;)

His gran will be taking him and we'll go once a week so he can show me what he's been doing :D
