I read an article the other day about a women whos LO got brain damage from someone with a cold sore, LO was only a few months old, she became very ill, turns out she had developed the herpes virus from someone with a cold sore kissing or getting too close to the LO. Well it's more common than not that LO would normally die from the virus, so just thought i'd make everyone well aware when their LOs are here beware who is going near them. xXx

My friend said she has had cold sores but her baby hasn't ever caught anything. She did say that this is whynits good to breastfeed as it gives baby antibodies to fight infection and why you have to sterilise bottles properly!x

wow interesting, thanks for that! will defo be on the look out for herpes infested people kissing my baby ( i can hardly talk i get coldsores sometimes). Quite worrying that something so simple is life threatening to babies! x

thankfully I have this really weird and sorta extreme phobia of anything to do with being ill, and I'll have a reason to stay away when my bub gets here ha X

Coldsores and Herpes are caused by different things. Yes herpes causes coldsore type lesions.. but they arent the same, so dont panic over them too much.
