I'm quite sure that at least some of you have tried to do certain challenges that are hugely popular at the moment to get back in shape after having a baby or before having (another) baby. I recently (now 3 weeks ago) started with a circuit squad challenge.
Google the 30 day circuit squad challenge and you'll find quite a bit of information on it.
So what's different?
1. It looks like you're doing less squads because you do 5 different ones instead of the most known basic squad just one
2. Therefore more muscles are trained and results are quicker to be seen and motivation is easy to keep up.
3. Because every fourth day is a rest day and you give your muscles the chance to recover it's easier to keep on going!
20 days ago I started and without a diet I lost 2/3 of a stone already.
On top of this currently I do 4 different abs work out that all together takes me no longer than 15 minutes and that is it for now.
The most important thing to know is, when you start some muscles are in coma mode other muscles around it are taking the hit for those untrained comatose muscles which in return can cause aches all over the body. You simply can't jump into day 30 and expect to keep on going. Muscles need to gradually stretch and strengthen so you can keep on going and do more.
I'm still eating mac d's, kfc and other yummies and yet I manage to start losing weight and shape up so do not reduce calorie intake whilst working out.
Tips to keep going,
Do warm up, do a silly little dance just move that body around and warm yourself up before taking the plunge, this will reduce chances of injury.
Have some water ready, put on some nice work out tunes that are motivational this all is totally possible with kids around you just make sure to watch out when doing your moves.
Build it up rather than throwing yourself in the deep end, at the end of the day that's not going to get you skinny. You have to think about celebs whom get fit so quick after giving birth with a personal trainer, that personal trainer didn't come out with the baby that personal trainer was there to keep all the muscles in shape to begin with. Besides it taking a risk that you may not be able to walk the next day and believe me on day 4 the first rest day I can certainly already feel like that so doing more than advised can add to injuries you really want to avoid.
If there is a suspected injury before starting any work out challenge it is advised to see a physio therapist whom will advise safe work out.
Last but not least, tailor yourself a work out plan and look on pintrest, youtube to find a challenge or work out to challenge yourself after your woke up all them muscles and got the basic in shape. My plan is to crack on with keaira la shae or however you spell her name and try the shred when I'm physically ready to do so. I've also found the girls from the 'call on me' video doing a 1,5 work out which I may try when I get to a bit more advanced levels of fitness.
Remember that when you start your squat or such isn't going to be perfect them muscles got to be worked up and stretched out. Rather than pushing yourself too deep remember that if you start up easy and keep going that perfect squad will be there by the end!
