Hey ladies hope you're all well, wanted to make sure I got this down before I forget about it. Been typing it up since yesterday haha.

Thursday 12pm
Arrived at hospital for induction process to begin, in middle of serving dinners so had some food first.
2pm nurse came and examined me, was quite painful but she managed to get the propess in no problem.
6pm started getting quite strong period pains, some worse than others. Mum came and saw me to keep my company for a bit.

Friday
1.30am pains really bad and close together but then could also be 12-15 mins apart. Midwife came in as I said it couldn't be right to be in so much pain haha I threw up a few times cause my body wasn't reacting to the very intense reaction to the propess. Was given an examination at 3am and she decided to take the propess out with the risk it might not have worked and might need it again. After a few hours the contractions settled into a pattern and stopped being so crazy but was still very painful.
8am Dr came and examined me, gave me gas n air as the last few exams had been so painful, thank goodness the propess had done its job, was 2cm and soft and stretchy so he gave me a sweep and told me I'd be waiting for labour ward so they could break my waters. I thought I'd be waiting a few hours but later on the midwife said it could be late night or even tomorrow morning, I was gutted cause the contractions were getting so intense.

Saturday
Still waiting for a bed in labour ward, contraction coming anywhere between 5-15 minutes but very strong and was really needing some extra pain relief but wasn't allowed any on the ward I was on.
5pm was finally called for about ward. Got taken down to the room and midwife was quite an elderly woman. Seemed very blaze about everything, took her 30 mins to read my notes etc and she was out of the room for this n that n the other, hadcto call a Dr to put my canular in too as she tried and faied miserably! 6.30 she said she was ready to break waters, finally!! No such luck, she was then called away to cover HDU (high dependency unit) and said I'd be allocated a new midwife when the shift changed at. 9pm. So I was left in a room with no comfy chair no bed other than delivery bed and I'd still not been examined from 8am the previous day. 11pm our midwife appeared. By 11.15 she'd examined me and broken my waters, I was 4-5 cm and was given gas n air if I needed it.
The pains were coming more regular from as soon as she broke them. By midnight I was on the drip. They don't lie when they say that makes your contractions come thick n fast.

Sunday
1.30am received epidural, I was seriously struggling to get through the pain and contracting 4 in 10 was just too much.
3am they callee Dr and baby's heart rate kept dipping. Dr asked her to examine me and I was fully dilated. This made me feel quite sick haha.
3.15am started pushing, was told I was doing it really well but baby not coming round the bend. Dr came back and said the same. They said they'd give me until 4.15. Never tried so hard in my life but baby wasn't budging. My epi was wearing off and no matter how many times I told them I could feel it they just told me to push when I felt them.
4.45am was back suffering full on contractions again, anesthetist came back to top me up and was told that I would be going for an assisted delivery but if baby wasn't round the bend they would do c section.
5am I was on my way to theatre, epi had started to kick in again thank goodness, was all set up in stirrups etc and they decided baby was stuck in my pelvis and there was no way they get her out vaginally so had to have c section.
I didn't even have time to register what was happening around me it was all happening so fast.
The section started and then I felt my legs go up again, the anesthetist told me that the baby was stuck in my pelvis so they were trying to push her back whist trying to pull her out. The whole thing was mortifying but at 5.44 my daughter came into the world.
They wizzed her past us into the Dr but I could hear her screams loud n clear :-)
Then the brought her back all wrapped up and she just stared at us for half n hour while we talked to her. Very emotional. Had to have stitches in my labia where they'd pushed her back through and caught me in the process but that's nothing too drastic.

But after 6 very long very emotional and testing days in hospital I'm now home with my little family and I couldn't be happier. Still struggling to get around but I have the hubby here to help. Most importantly my girl is ok and finally with me in the outside world.
