very pale pink blood after i wipe

Hello

Well im 5+1 and still having bad back ache which woke me up at 2am this morning! But feeling ok.
Sorry to be so blunt..
just been to the loo for bowel movement (but constipated) and when i wiped after a wee there was a bit of very pale pink blood.

Is this normal? I know you can have spotting (but to be honest, I always assumed spotting was as it said on the tin, spots of blood seen in your knickers).
Ive got no cramping.
Too scared to go to the loo again in case its heavier

I had light pink blood at 6 weeks, had scan and baby fine.
Its only a concern if it's bright red and your cramping xx

Yup, i had it too once, early on, and completely freaked out - but everything is going fine so far (had scan the other day), so try not to worry (although i know its hard not too). Mine vanished as quickly as it arrived, so im hoping its the same for you!

This is really common. The only time you should really worry is if the bleeding is light and continuous. Spotting is actually a lot more common than not spotting, if that makes sense. As your 5+1, I would imagine it's the baby burying nice and deep into your uterine wall xx

Thank you all. It's put my mind at ease, though I can't help but keep dreading each time I go the loo.
I put a pad on just so it was easier to see and in case it gets heavier and there is a little spot of blood on the pad from a couple of hours ago. After going to the loo now it's still pale pink after wiping, but I'd say it's less obvious.

I have started getting "feelin" in the period pain area, but not cramps as such, and I feel the need to go the loo loads.
So gonna stay positive, and try and get some sleep tonight

The doctor at the epau told me that it is quite common to bleed after a bowel movement hun. I did and even passed some blood clots an little baby is still hanging in there. I was given fibrogel to make going the loo easier and this has helped with the bleeding too x x

Really 2184cat? Because (sounds horrible, sorry) but had bad toilet pains, like I had a dodgy tummy, and just now "very" easy to go to loo and vaginal bleeding. It's more red than pink but after second wipe it goes back to pink again. The blood on the pad from last night is slightly more but only about size of 10p piece.

No cramping but a definite dull achy feeling in lower abdomen.
I know its all very early and these things happen but we told my parents on Thursday because they were about to book a very expensive holiday around the potential due date so we wanted to give them a heads up. And now if I have to go back and say, sorry, false alarm etc etc. they are gonna be gutted.

Constipation can cause a little bleeding from the pressure, there are thousands of tiny very delicate blood vessels in the foof. You can ring nhs direct hun. Hope it stops and doesn't return! xxxxxxxx

Sorry you are going through this. As others have said quite a lot of people have bleeding and gone on to have healthy babies, so it's not always the end, but it's still a really unsure, scary time for you. Try to look after yourself and rest plenty, hugs and sticky bean thought for you.
