Hi ladies, has anyone else experienced vertigo in early pregnancy? I’m 8 weeks now and for the last two days I’ve woken up with awful vertigo, bad enough to need to hold on to something. It gets better through the day but still have spells through the day, which I don’t think I’d be able to drive through xx

Nope I've never suffered this. Maybe a visit to your GP is in order? Hopefully it'll clear up as quickly as it arrived xxx

Baby I have an appt this afternoon. Dr thinks it could be blood pressure, I suffered with dizzy spells on standing before, but never all day x

How did your appointment go at the doctors chrissi? Hope everything is OK xxx

Hi, I've had vertigo before (not whilst pregnant) it's such a horrible, scary thing. Really hope your feeling much better very soon x

Hope your doctor cleared it up hun and it goes soon I've had vertigo in the past ( not been pregnant ) and it's awful xxx

Thanks ladies. Feeling better today, no swaying floors! Drs were all but useless I took in a Irvine sample and then had to go back in again to have my blood pressure checked. It wasn’t even a nurse that I saw, so she just said if it’s a regular occurrence to call the midwife. I’ve had it the dizziness on getting out of bed a few times in the past. But it’s usually gone with 5 minutes. Xx

I think you should mention it to the midwife when you go next. Hopefully, it stay away now. Xx

I was very dizzy, felt wobbly etc for around 2 weeks in the early stages. It got me really worried. Went to docs 3 days in a row and they said it’s just part of being pregnant unfortunately. They originally said vertigo but checked my ears and they were fine. The only time I wasn’t spinning was when I was laid down, and when I woke in the morning I’d have to slowly sit myself up in bed then stay like that for around 5 mins and then get up slowly. I was so relieved when it went away as it was awful? Oh anc the doc gave me cyclizine for nausea but also said it helps with vertigo
