Anyone use these on bottles? We have Ruby on medium flow as she was fallin asleep sucking on newborn (she is a greedy baby!! LOL)

She seems to be taking a big feed during night, more than during day feeds and I wonder if the variflow would be better for the night feed, so she isnt guzzling so much??

i tried mothercare variflow and jack couldnt actually get any milk out!! ive heard avent variflow r good though, although think these r from 3 months...

Yeah I have heard that Variflow should really only be used from 3 months plus, or earlier if used with a thicker formula like Comfort.

Zac is on Avent Number 2 Slow and seems to be taking his bottles fine at a steady pace, maybe you could try this for the nightimes? It depends how frustrated Ruby gets when sucking, you can only try :)

i tried keeley on avent ones and she couldn't understand how to do them so she refused to drink from them so i'm just using normal ones now :D

I wouldnt recommend mix and match with teat flows as it will only confuse....If she is using medium then just use that for day and night, she will only take as much as she needs, and if she takes too much you will know because she will just being some back up (possetting (sp?) ).... However I think the variflow are good because you dont have to go out and buy a whole set of new teats whenever they seem to hit the next stage....

I used the avent variflow for Aimee but we never liked them. She didn't like them and i found them a pain especially in the night when you have to see which way round the teat is in the dark. Nathan is on avent number 2 teats and hes getting on really well with them. Never bothered with the number 1 teats.

Thanks girlies....going to stick with medium flow for now, she seems to be settling down with them. Sh is so good with her night feed, glugs it down, big burp them back to catching her zzzzzz's!!!

She obviously gets her love of sleep from her mommy :cheer:

I found them a real pain, didnt seem to matter which way round I held it it always seemed to come out in a gush and he'd be gagging on it. Medium flow is much better plus the issue of telling which way round it is in the dark just isnt worth the hassle.
