Is there any cough medicine we are allowed to take?

Hi huni, I had this last week and it was bad so I hope you get over it soon. Not allowed anything except paracetamol which I dont really like taking cause they make me constipated so I tried just to take them at night before bed. Get well Soon, feet up and relax xxx

I found the lemsip drink helped so much with the cough and the cold!

I was at pharmacist yesterday to get something as my stomach feels like it is ripped to pieces - all the ligaments are strained, soooooo sore.

All we can have is honey and lemon or glycerine based medicine which doesnt really help.

Hope you feel better soon. I am finding lots of baths helping...coughing while bouyant doesnt hurt as much

i have just found a lemon lurking in my fridge so going to start hammering the honey and lemon drinks.

From what everyone is saying I am just going to have to grin and bear this one. Never mind! Hopefully it will pass quickly.

i know the feeling, i feel pants!! Cant sleep for coughing, my throat sore, my stomach all stretched and achy Just glad I have it now and not after the cesarean, not comfy to cough after that!!!! xx

We are not long off the phone to the midwife, I broke down in tears at lunchtime when OH came home. he said to call for advice, no use being in so much pain over a cough. MW said call doctor, which I did. Just collected co-codamol for rib flare and stretched ligaments. will let you know if it helps.

I feel like such a wuss but the pain is drivingme nuts and wont let up. bath, ice pack nothing helps
