txt spk question!

i text a lot and 'txt spk' spills over onto here (in case you didnt notice! lol im sorry i honestly try not to but its defficult its so habitual!) and i even do it a bit when i write with a pen!
but can anyone clear this up...

my mum is quite good at text for her generation she texts me a lot and uses said 'txt spk'. but what she always does, which is a bit she shortens "come" to "cum"! now i thought the latter had a very different specific meaning and would not be used when texting to shorten the word come?!?

am i right, or do other people put stuff like "i mite cum with daddy l8r on if thats ok"?!!

if i am right, should i tell her? im not sure she knows what it means, shes had a kinda sheltered life

I hate 'txt spk' in all forms, if your phone has predictive text then its not really justified.

I especially hate it when old people use it, its just wrong! (IMO)

P.S. I've no issues with net/msn abbreviations until my keyboard does predictive typing that is!
