My boy is two in six weeks and I'm really struggling with ideas of what to get him for his birthday! I feel like he's only just got a shed load of stuff for Christmas!

I'll be picking up some little bits like books, colouring books and cheap toys, and will probably be asking the relatives for clothes, just wondering what to get for his big present.

Inspire me mummies!!

I got my son a Playmobil House as the main present with other smaller playmobil things. For Christmas (he's a November baby) I got him a Brio set as a main present. Both went down pretty well. I think role play stuff is good at this age. My son got a kitchen from my folks and I filled it up with pretend food and he plays with that everyday.

My daughter is 2 next week. For her main present we have got her a rocking crib and doll accessories. For Christmas she got a kitchen as her main present. As rooster said, role play stuff is really good!

Harry had a balance bike and he loved it. He soon got the hang of it and by summer was whiz zing round on it. (He was an April baby)

Cam had little prezzies and a trip to the zoo! He loved it!!

How about a trike or a toy kitchen?

Mines 2 in a couple of weeks and has enough toys so we're getting her a sandpit for the garden. She's just moved into her own bed so will also get her some bed sheets in the theme of Winnie the Pooh as she's obsessed! Then some other practical stuff like a new pair of shoes and a new outfit for her little sisters baptism.

My little boy got a balance hike for his 2nd birthday from my folks. He's starting to get used to it, but it'll be really great come Spring.

My daughter got a kitchen, slide, piano, and a few bits and bobs. My boy a balance bike, a train table and a few bits.

My daughter got a trip to Peppa pig world with free choice of something from the gift shop and little books & puzzles on the day

My little boy is two soon, we're getting him a sand and water activity table :)

Thanks for all the suggestions every one, some good ideas.

Wilson you're right in that the little things are always what they like best. He has loads of bags of dinosaurs I got from the pound shop that he loves!

I've just ordered some peg puzzles off eBay and am getting some role play food stuff from Argos too. It's so hard when their birthday is close to Christmas.

Harry's 2 a month today. He's also my second boy so not only has he just had tons for Christmas he's also shares all of his Brother's toys/clothes too making it twice as hard lol. Harry loves any toy that moves so we're getting him a dancing Mickey Mouse as his main present. Then we're getting him an aqua doodle, a bucket of building bricks and some more lift the flap Spot the dog books as he has one that he adores. That'll do from us as he's having a party too. My Mum is getting him a big box of stickle bricks because they're his fave and i'll ask for summer clothes from any relatives that ask xx

Urgh clairebear I'm already worrying about what the hell I'm going to do for baby number two and he's not even born yet! My house is going to explode with toys!!!
