Twins? Nine weeks today with baby number two and I already have a bump

Has anyone had an early scan where they was told one baby and then gone for the twelve week and been told actually there's two? I'm huge my gran asked if I was five months today!!!! I shouldn't be showing at all

I was very bloated earlier in my pregnancy and this doesnt feel like bloating and is getting bigger as the weeks go on

I found with DD2 I became so bloated early on that I could hardly fit in any of my clothes by 9 weeks. Lots of people say they show much earlier with subsequent children. I'm bloated again in this pregnancy but can still fit in my clothes at 7 weeks.

Even twins would still be pretty small at this stage. Maybe it's triplets? :-D Sorry, just joking, well probably. I'm actually slightly terrified of twins, it would be so hard! Unlikely if you've had a scan, not impossible though.

I was definitely showing at 10 wks - my boss even noticed and asked outright if I was expecting. Are you a skinny build? It's my first and I did have bloating in the first few weeks, but this is definitely bump now! Have always had a flat boyish type shape, midwife said that's likely why it's more noticeable. X

I think your body remembers the bump from the first time. So it recreates it a lot sooner than you'd expect.

Yeah I'm quite short and not over weight some would say skinny I guess my tutor at college said to me yesterday that I need to get my scan out of the way because I can't hide the bump anymore someone told me they'd guess I was five months pregnant which I thought was a over exaggeration but I'm as big as a girl in my class that's twenty weeks it's scary and I had a scan at six weeks so my dates are about right

i look about 5 months pregnant as well its normal with second baby xx

I'm 6 weeks and this week have definitely noticed a massive bulge! It's my second and I'm very sporty and not overweight. I was a bit freaked out it might be twins, but think it's more realistically just my stomach remembering what's going to happen and giving up the fight already lol!
If you started off with twins last time though, it may well be. Was it early enough to see a heartbeat at the last scan? Was there definitely just one??

Yeah could only see one heart beat

I think with a second pregnancy your stomach muscles aren't as tight because they've been through it all before. Therefore you show much quicker than you would have done with your first.

There would be no mistaking twins at a scan lol

At 9 weeks pregnant with my second child I was showing with bloat so badly! I had to put files in front of my belly at work to stop people seeing!
