do you mean like a squint/lazy eye where one of his eyes drifts out every so oftern?

im not sure hun all the hv said was slight turn in the eye ive not noticed anything wrong with his eyes myself so dont really know what she means xxxxxxx

ah right....
was gonna say i was told i had a squint at about 11 yrs old... I was refered to the eye hospital and the had me doing eye exercises like trying to focus on stuff etc to try and strengthen the muscles...no one ever noticed with mine either it just caused me to have doubel vision and every so often it would drift out...
i ended up having surgery but it wasnt really anything major....was a general anaesthetic but all was well and i had it done twice...hope hes ok and it can be sorted easily xxx

thanks hun that site is really helpful xxxxxxx

thanks sarah hopefully we will have more news 2moro xxxxxx

Hiya,

i've had this since birth. My mum is convinced it's because I was a forceps delivery and they caight my left eye with the forceps. That's the one that turns inwards now.

I was diagnosed at abotu 4 years old, but mum said it was noticeable since birth. I had to wear glasses full time. It's a weakening in the muscles in one side of the eyeball. My focussing is perfect, it's just that I get double vision when the eye drifts. The glasses fix it perfectly, doesn't look off centre at all.

The good news is, that as I got to a teenager I experimented with not wearing my glasses as much and gradually I managed to strengthen the eye muscles. So nowadays, I don't wear glasses full time. I have them but only use them if I'm tired or doing something that requires a lot of concentration.

Hope this has helped. Anything else let me know. The doctors said they could have operated on me but there was a risk that the operation could cause my eye to turn outwards instead of fixing it, and I think that looks worse so we just went with the glasses. I did have to wear a patch on one eye whilst at home watching telly when I was younger, to strengthen the other eye.

K.xx

iv never heard of this. good luck at the app 2mro

appointment went really well they said they dont think he has got a turn in the eye they think as he has a wide gap between the eyes it can sometimes give the impression of a turn but after a few tests yesterday the specialist said she couldnt see 1 but they are going to see him again in 6 months time to double check :D xxxxxxx
