Tummy bug

Sorry to be whinging again, but just wanted to check out what you thought. I'm ok-ish now, but I've had diarrhea and sickness on Friday and was just wiped out yesterday. Feel much better today, slept in till 11 am today, bliss! I'm not whinging about me, because it's just a bug, and I'm obviously getting better, but I weighed myself this am and I've lost 6 pounds! I'm assuming that will be me and not baby? Baby seems really active today and yesterday, so I'm not too worried, but just wanted to check with you all. Probably going to nip to the drs tommorrow - I've been on the phone to the labour ward over the weekend checking out pain relief, and they weren't worried by me having a bug, so I assume the weight loss is ok and will only be effecting me?

aww glad ur getting better, yeah the weightloss will only be affecting you, it might always be your body clearing out ready for babies appearance I got really bad diorreah when jakob was ready to come (like a week before)

Well as long as it's only affecting me that's fine! I did think it might be clearing out for labour as well, but thought that as I felt so ill it was prob a bug. Did you feel poorly as well? A friend of mine just gave birth and started off with a lot of diarrhea, but hers only lasted for a few hours.

I love the name Jakob - we were thinking of the same as my grandpa was called Jacob and OH's called Jack. Still not made up our minds though lol.

Hope you're feeling better.

I've had this bug twice and the first time I lost 4lb so I wouldn't worry, my M/W said as long as I can still feel baby all is ok.

She said the weight loss would affect me more and shouldn't really impact him as he'll be grabbing whatever he can before I get to it !

Thanks! I'm feeling lot better, but OH came in today saying he's got it now.... So I've put him to bed, and hopefully he wont get as bad as I did as he hasn't get a little bubba inside him lol. Guess at least now I know it's a bug and not hormonal - unless Ian is coming out with sympathy sh*ts lol.

Hoorah for greedy baby's as well!

Don't worry. If you are ill, the baby will just take all your nutrients from you, which means you might not be healthy, but baby will, so make sure you eat properly and you'll get your energy back.

Thank youuuuuu! I'm starting to eat, and baby is so lively I'm sure it's fine. Just got my big baby to look after now!
