Hi all, after reading goodness knows how many threads, I've finally plucked up the courage/ gotten so down, to start my own.
My husband of 2 years and I decided to TTC August 2014 and came off the pill. No period, blood tests, ultrasound, an MRI and many many negative pregnancy tests later I was diagnosed with a 7mm Prolactinoma on my pituitary gland back in April, with my prolactin levels being in the region of 1300. I was put on half a tablet of cabergoline twice a week, and still no sign of change. Blood test last week showed my prolactin levels have dropped to 600 and doc doubled my dose.
I know it's heading in the right direction but I am getting so fed up with hearing stories of friends and acquaintances that have been with their partner 5 minutes and are pregnant straight away. I have been with my husband over 10 years now and it's my turn!! I feel like I'm letting him down as he was so excited when I came off the pill, and he's been so good with hiding his disappointment.
This probably sounds really whiney, but I would just like to hear from anyone else who's been in the same situation and how low their prolactin levels had to get before they ovulated or conceived.
Thanks in advance!
