Ttc - thick cervical mucus

I had to do IUI (intrauterine insemination) for my 1st child bc of thick cervical mucus and my 2nd was a surprise. Trying for 3rd, just curious if anyone has tried mucinex to reduce thickness of mucus. Read some posts about it. Any thoughts/experiences?

hi on the cycle i successfully caught (after 19 months) i took Guafenisin (basically mucinex) very very early on in my cycle right up to try no1. i think it may have been a early as when af finished but i cant remember :/
