TTC, Pending blood test, advice??

Hi,

I'm Lauren, I'm in my early 20's and ttc, I've been trying for a year now but the problem is I have never had regular periods, normally get about 2 a year. My last period so to say was in August 2015 but I conceived and had a miscarriage very early on (I didn't know I was pregnant until I went to the toilet and saw).

Anyway, I went to the doctors today and had a blood test and my partner gave a semen sample. Has anyone got any advice or information about possible results? My doctor seemed to think I would be okay having a baby with the help of drugs to bring on my periods more but im still petrified as I feel I was born to be a mum, nothing else matters to me!

So yeah please share your experiences ect,

Hi, sounds like it could be PCOS? I'm not a good example as I've had a long and unsuccessful battle but I was only diagnosed myself last year. I'm now on metformin which helps. You should get given clomid too to help you ovulate. Chromium and cinnamon (in one tablet) and maca root tablets have also helped me as I've found my hormones are all over the place.

I know lots of women with PCOS who have successfully conceived and it shouldn't really be a problem once you're ovulating. So it will happen - you just can't fall pregnant at the drop of a hat like some!
