hello all

wow 5 days left on the pill and then hubby and I are going to start trying.

It's getting a bit scary now it's so close. We've been together for 10 years and got married in November. We really want our own little family yet it's still bloody scary!

I've got endometriosis - gynae has said mainly round bladder & bowel so shouldn't have any probs with fertility. Main symptom i have is that intercourse is incredibly painful, so unlike some people (hubby incl!) am not looking forward to all the trying.

Any tips on recognising when i'm ovulating?? Want to try and pin it down as closely as possible.

Thanks!!

Petra

Hey Hun welcome to PF. Lots of use use ovulation test kits to pinpoint ovulation. You can get cheap ones from eBay good luck x

Hiya

Welcome to the forums and good luck with TTC :)

As MrsMc has said, a number of people using ovulation predictor kits to pinpoint when they ovulate. These little sticks should show up a double line 12-36 hrs before you ovulate so you have enough time to spring into action ;-)

I've heard of people temperature charting but as far as I can tell that only tells you when you have already ovulated, no advance warning.

There are other 'techniques' that apparently tell you what is going on, depends how squeamish you are about your body as to whether you use them :)

xx

Hi Petra, welcome to the forum!

I use the testing sticks, the cheap ones from ebay, but I find I do actually know when I'm ovulating by symptoms and by timing.

Timing wise, its usually about 7 days after my period finishes.

Symptoms: my sex drive goes up, the appearance of CM, and slight pain in my lower right abdomen

Hope that helps! xx

Hi all!

Thanks for your comments. I guess we just get trying and see how we go. I need to stop thinking about it but that's easier said than done I guess.

Am going to have a look around this forum.
