Only found out yesterday but think I'm 4+4 and I just want to run and scream & tell everyone!!

I'm having no obvious symptoms apart from a few back twinges & feeling a little more tired than normal.

This is going to be sooooo difficult keeping it from family until the end of January! :x
I don't know how I'm guna do it?!

Do most people wait until after the first scan?
Do you tell close family & friends before?!

It's a completely personal choice Summergurl, we just couldn't keep the excitement to ourselves so were out telling family the day after we found out :-) We've had a really difficult ttc journey, which everyone has been through with us and have been wonderfully supportive, so we wanted them to experience all of the positives as well. It's also a high risk pregnancy so we wanted to enjoy every moment and would want people's support if anything went wrong anyway, so best that they too experience some of the wonderful time just in case!
As I said, it's completely up to you, you do whatever feels right xx

This will be a shock to everybody we know. As far as they are aware we don't want a child but in actual fact we just wanted to keep it to ourselves that we were trying. Now that it's happened I can't wait to just tell my mum!!! Lol

I told my mum and a couple of close friends but I agree it's personal choice. I couldn't keep it to myself!! Congratulations xx

We told my parents and my husbands parents. Waiting until scan before I tell anyone else. I think if I hadn't told my
Mum o would have had to because I've been really nauseated so would have been difficult to hide from her when I speak to her twice a day

Tri-hopping here. We told hubby's parents at 8 weeks after out early scan. We were going to wait until a week later as it was father's day but hubby couldn't contain himself once he knew it was twins. We told the rest of the family after our 12 week scan.

It's entirely a personal choice - I quite liked it being our secret for those first few weeks after finding out but was also glad when hubby's parents knew as we see them quite a lot and it was hard work keeping it a secret.

We've got an early rescan booked for Thursday and if all goes well we are going to tell immediate family in Christmas Day when I will be 9-10weeks. I would like to wait until after 12 week scan but I have a big family and having a drink or two and games etc is obligatory on Xmas day night so I certainly have no choice but to spill the beans. We did however tell my parents one week after we found out.

My sister in law annoyed it to the whole family at 3 weeks ... Like you say it's personal preference xx

Congrats Summergurl! x
Just told all of the grandparents-to-be this weekend, as we has the 12 wk scan last Thursday. We left it until we knew all was ok and less risk of this and that before telling as we're quite private anyway, but it's all personal preference! Also I'm starting to obviously show so it can't really be hidden much longer. I'm sure some people just think I'm getting fat.. lol

Its personal preferance.

We told first time round and next time we definitely wont. I will tell my fam and v close friends after 12w scan and not on facebook until 20w. I like the idea of keeping it between OH and I for atleast a little while.

I wont be revealin any due date either. I went 14 days over and the amount of hasstle I got up until the birth. I was super stressed. So my rules are:

1. No early announcements
2. No due date
3. No gender
4. No names

I dont want the prying the next time round. We learn what we would and wouldnt like after we have did it.

Go with the flow.

xxxx
