Trying for 3 months now

Hi all im new to the forum. Im 25 and already have a 3 year old boy and were trying for what will be my partners first child. This is the 3rd month of tryin my period is due on Friday but I couldn't wait and took a test yesterday which was negative hopefully it was just too early.... Really frustrating as my son was an accidental pregnancy which happened after I missed 1 contraceptive pill, then took the morning after pill! Sods law that now I'm trying it's not happened yet! Anyway it would be nice to chat to some of you an share the experience

Oh also, I was on the injection for 3 months from February to may and then taking the pill until June, do u think this would affect me concieving very much? In the first month of trying I got ovulation tests started testmg on the right day and for 6 days after and got nothing! Could it be I am ovulating at the 'wrong' time as my body is still adjusting?

Hi Bianca, didn't want to read and run....I'm a newbie here too and trying for my first since the beginning of July. Can't offer much advice but if it's any comfort I've been off the pill since the beginning of July and have had nothing yet either - no AF & no true positive OPK (had 1 positive read yesterday but neg again today so am assuming the positive ovulation sign was a blip)....so similar to you my cycle must be taking its time to settle.

Hi and welcome to PF.

I know its so frustrating how easily it can happen when you're not thinking about it. I got pregnant twice on the pill and had 2 MC's, and now Im actively trying it feels like it isnt happening.
I've been using OPK's too this month, and have yet to get a positive reading, although I just done one about 10mins ago and messed it up (not much pee came out, and it came out really far back lol, so most of it missed the stick) so hopefully later on today or tomorrow I will finally get a positive OPK.
I feel like Im driving my husband round the bend with all the BDing, poor thing is exhausted!

Hey, glad I'm not the only one having trouble getting a positive OPK. It's put me off buying them as they're not cheap! Think I will try them again next month hopefully my cycle will have settled more then. From the few posts I've read it seems most people seem to have been trying just a few months which gives me hope it will happen soon! It's extra hard for me at the moment as my partner is working away Monday to friday - I've said he'll have to come home for the night whenever I'm ovulating during the week, I don't care how long the journey is!

You can get cheap OPKs off eBay - I just got 50 for about 7ish quid inc posting.
