Treatments

Can anyone please advise as to what treatments you can still get when pregnant.

I am currently 5 weeks pregnant and due to get married abroad in less than 5 weeks. I booked in at a salon a while ago to have gel nails and toenails, lash tint and extensions.

Are all of these treatments still safe to get?

Also I have a really hurty tummy today. Every little pain makes me very paranoid. Tell me I am over-reacting please.

Oooh congratulations! Where are you going? You should be able to get all of those done safely while you're pregnant, but let the salon know first as I think some use different products for nails and I'm not sure if they're all completely safe - they should have one that is though!

And random pains and cramps are totally normal in early pregnancy x

We are going to Jamaica. I cannot wait. Bit sad I can't take part in some of the watersports that are included now. And will have to ask for virgin cocktails. But so excited about expecting our first baby.

I think all of those are fine, just check with the salon first.
I also had cramp and things, i think it is everything stretching, but if unsure, book yourself an appointment with the doctor, even if it is just for a piece of mind.
Wow i bet you are looking forward to your wedding and hope you share photos with us all afterwards.

Hiya,congrats and welcome to the forum. I think all the treatments should b fine but let them know ur pregnant in advance and if ur having any eyelash/eyebrow tinting/perking done make sure they do a patch test 24-48 hrs b4 just to b on the safe side. xx

You wil lbe fine hunni to have treatments.

When I was pregnant with my first child I had a spa day, booked by my husband as a christmas present it involved getting my lashes tinted, nails and toenails, massage, facial the works!! They were fine with it and said it was safe during pregnancy (I was around 13 weeks at the time) just had to sign a disclaimer that I was still happy to go through with all the treatments.

I also have had gel overlays done during this pregnancy, fingers and toes and that is fine too - only thing I have found is that due to hormones the gel has been lifting from my fingernails after a week, so not going to bother having them done regularly now - only as a treat!

Got another dress fitting tomorrow and am thinking of asking them to take out the dress slightly. Does anyone know if this is easy to do??

Will you be over 12 weeks? Depending on the salons health and safety, most salons won't do treatments under 12 weeks but we do allow for manicures and pedicures though! Double check with the salon and hope you have a fab time x x
