Will has been having Ellas organic purees and i also puree a banana a day for him. Tried him with some scrambled egg this week and he heaved loads and eventually projectile vomitted :(

then i made mash potato and carrot puree but was a bit thicker than an ellas puree and again, heaved and got sick :(

is my cooking that bad

how do i make the transition?

I think you just have to go with him. Like leandro loves pureed foods and we've given him rusks and biscotti but if it'd too lumpy he spits it out so I know he's not ready yet so gonna carry on for another week or two on pureed food and see how it goes. I think carry on with the puree and give it a week or a bit longer and go from there. Also if the foods to thick add a bit of his milk. That might help xxx

Maybe try and just give him small tasters, say a spoon or two? I know if he's enjoying it it is tempting to let him have more but maybe he just ate too much too fast??
If not, as Niknaks says, maybe it is just a little too soon for him and you could try him again in a week or 2.
Good luck :)

I think you'll just have to stick with it hun. Maybe just a couple of spoonfuls like above.
It's all new texture/consistency for him and his digestive system to learn About.

Cameron had scrambled egg this week and he gagged like a good'un lol x

Thanks everyone. Thing is I literally gave him a teeny bit both times and he got sick straight away so didn't go any further. Might try again in a week xx

Could you try making the foods he likes a little bit lumpier??

With Kayden we skipped the puree stage & went straight to lumpy when we weaned, we thought it would help with his reflux & it did.

With the banana for example, rather than puree it, why not mash it with a fork & leave it just a tiny bit lumpier than normal. With the ellas kitchen things is there something you could add to them to make them a bit chunkier?? How about some ellas kitchen with some potatoes?

Take it slow & try often, you'll get there eventually.

xxxxxx

It took my lo a while to make the transition but dont worry he will get there eventually its all a natural process, i offered lots of fi ger foods and didnt bither if he threw em on the floor etc just made sure he got used to the texture. I also mashed with a fork, or pureed half and then added the other half mashed if u know what i mean! Im not ashamed to admit that i used alot of the stage two jars/pouches especially when we were out and about! Also bought some heinz baby stars and used an ellas pouch as a sauce, that way he had the familiar taste of the stage one pouch but with the pasta texture! Also i overcooked (initally) the pasta on purpose so it was softer! X

I thought you'd written one like this Sar. This is me now! :wall2: x

We didnt really have purees but.maybe when you make your food, try adding some if his usual formula to the mash? Maybe it will make it more manageable to swallow?
