Hi

My pram bassinet is supposed to last until they are 6-8months or 10kg. It is a concord neo so can be used in the car as well but we have been using our car seat a lot as the bassinet is getting heavy!

I have noticed LO won't really sleep in the bassinet now was his arms hit the sides. Here's a picture of him in it - he's only 3months old!

How long did you keep your LOs in their bassinets for? I'm not sure if I should just use his car seat or use the other part of his pram in the lie flat position? x

We had somethin similar a carrycot and also used it for bed and walks but she was too big at 8wks old so we introduced crib for sleeps and car seat for walks in pushchair. Now at nearly 5 months she is in a cot and uses the stroller part of pushchair...I dont know who would suggest 6-8months in bassinet but only tiny babies would still fit at 3 months lol...Thats why we had a travel system as we knew it would be short term...it was sad to see it be put away in loft, same when she outgrew crib at 3months old...(we have a tall baby and crib was getting too short lol)

Bee hated the lay down part of her pram (we have a Chameleon) so I put her in the sitty up part at 12 weeks.

X

Our girly hates laying flat anyway, we've just tried her out in the seat part of the pushchair (icandy peach 3) as had to resort to using car seat, but it's hassle if we are out a few hours as need to make a point of getting her out regularly. It's only been a couple of occasions luckily. we bought a sheepskin for it so she is nice and snug and she loves it as likes to see what is going on so might use it more often now. She is now 12 weeks and just keep it in recline.

Thanks guys, think I'll try out the seat part with him.

I think we'll have to say goodbye to the snuzpod soon too. He probably has another heads length in it but again I hear him hitting his arms on the side all night and he tries to lie sideways in it with his face pressed against the walls x

My eldest had well out grown his carry cot and moses basket by three months. I actually think he was eight weeks when we stopped putting him in the carry cot. He hated the flipping thing anyway. We didnt even bother with them for my youngest as we knew it would be a waste. We bought the next to me crib for him to sleep in because it was the biggest crib we could find. Apparently it lasts until six months. My youngest it four months old and a growth spurt away from being too long for even it!!!!

We used our carrycot bit twice! (Fortunately we had loaned it from a friend rather than shelled out a fortune.)

We used the car seat on the pram for short trips and got a nice padded liner for the pushchair, she was probably 3-4 months. I used a carrier a fair bit too.

Incidentally we had a snuzpod that lasted til she was about 4 months...I moved her to her cot because she scratched her nails along the fabric sides and freaked us out in the night lol!

Xx
