Well they were excited, not

Feeling disappointed by their reaction, particularly as DH is an only child so their only chance of grandchildren is through us. Fil made a comment about it being a boy, so obviously Ella's a disappointment as she's a girl. Am really hoping for another one now  (Although as long as it's happy and healthy I don't care! ).

They seemed really disinterested!

its always an anti climax with the second. People just aren't as exctied about another.

Aww Kina
Do you reckon it is just shock on there part?
I know how you feel though, are yours normally really nice are you close?

At least you have got a lovely family, you, hubby and Ella and Bean, that is all that counts. I think the older generation sucks....... :wall:

Kina, my inlaws (or outlaws) didnt give a monkeys bout when I was pg with Rebecca, they still dont care bout her-and Dales mum runs a nursery u wld think she would b gud wi kids!

Anyhow proper congrats to u, and as long as u and OH r happy what else matters! Their loss!

PS u were always going on bout needing to lose weight-where about? On the pics of the meet u were slim! b*tch! only joking.

:rotfl: :rotfl: You must be looking at someone else! I'm the one with the crap hair (effing rain) and thunder thighs :D

No it is u, I asked Dionne who the girl was with the blonde hair cause she is pretty and she told me it was you!

No offence but it wasn't how I imagined you-you are soo lucky to be so slim!

good god there is no fat on you girly, and you are so pretty. Dont put yourself down.Everyone is beautiful in this world. You are very lucky because you are naturally pretty. BTW Ella looks like you, just looked at the "what do you look like thread"

when i told ohs mum that i was pg with bump(hannah) she said if it was a boy she didnt want to know, she had 4 grandsons already

Awww I'm sorry hun :(
I can only imagine how it feels, I hope your parents were more excited for you, it's excellent news hun. I'm excited for you!! :cheer:

Only lukewarm reception Ive had so far was my folks, wouldnt mind but their last grandchild is my DD who's nearly 14!!!

OH's mom on the other hand was screaming like she'd won the lottery :D

you know we are all mega excited for you xx

 sorry its not the reaction you were hoping for think i would be disappointed as well xx

Awww hun sorry your in laws are like that! My brother in law and his girlfriend are due a baby in november and my mil said to him it best be a girl! Made me feel like my son doesn't matter! Don't think she'll give a damn about their baby either which is a girl which is what she wanted. Bloody witch

Seems like I'm not alone with the lukewarm reaction then!  for us all! DH spoke to his parents this morning and they seemed a bit happier. Well at least we're happy so that's the main thing, screw everyone else!

Thanks KX, you've cheered me up. I'm not a confident person and was really worried about the meet, I straightened my hair and plastered the foundation over my bad skin, then it rained and made my hair look like rats tail and washed off my make-up. I felt so tired and haggard next to all the bright eyed lovelies that were there! I feel far more at ease behind my pc when I can sit in my pants! :rotfl:

Kina have you tried Loreal dream matte mousse foundation? I call it Instant Skin

My skin's dreadful and that covers everything and wont wash off in the rain ;)

Don't worry hun, I'm just the same. I was so nervous about meeting everyone, which is why I wasn't going to the meet originally. I get so nervous to what people think of me, I almost started to cry at one point. You looked lovely hun, not tired and hagged

Oooh thanks for that Minime, I use a Boots No7 one that's quite nice and thick, but it let me down!

Cheers Sami :D
