Ladies I really new some help, I'm goin to my mil on Sunday and they're having my favourite dessert, toffee and pecan meringue roulade, so my question is can I eat it or is it a no go?

Hi you should be fine to eat that. The eggs in the meringue will be cooked so I dont see a problem . Enjoy xxxx

Apparently the rule is if the meringue is hard and cooked in the oven then it's fine but if it's soft (like the type that is coloured with a blow torch) that's the type you can't eat as the eggs aren't cooked!

thanks ladies, i thought so to be honest, i would presume it is cooked because it is rolled up and if it wasnt cooked it would not heve lines it would go a bit sloppy lol :) SOOOO EXCITED

mmmmmm, I could eat that now...............

I made pavlova the other day and ate about 4 portions of it! All good as long as it's a cooked meringue :) ENJOY!!
