Ladies I really new some help, I'm goin to my mil on Sunday and they're having my favourite dessert, toffee and pecan meringue roulade, so my question is can I eat it or is it a no go?
Apparently the rule is if the meringue is hard and cooked in the oven then it's fine but if it's soft (like the type that is coloured with a blow torch) that's the type you can't eat as the eggs aren't cooked!
thanks ladies, i thought so to be honest, i would presume it is cooked because it is rolled up and if it wasnt cooked it would not heve lines it would go a bit sloppy lol SOOOO EXCITED
