hi girls
I wrote a post 2 weeks ago saying we were putting our boy into his toddler bed to get him used to it for when the baby comes, first night went great, second was a bit harder and from then it's just gotten worse. He was a great sleeper before in his cot, he went straight down awake and went to sleep straight away - so we through the would adapt the same !! We were wrong.
Iv tried preserving with him and it seems now the only way I can get him to fall asleep in his bed is if I sit with him , and he is waking through the night 10's of times, I can get him back to sleep but he then only wakes an hour later wanting me back. I seem to have made a rod for my own back - it's as if he now needs us there to fall asleep and iv never wanted that, he's up and down - I expected that for a while but it's like it's now a game. So now instead of getting a good 13 / 12 hours sleep he is probably getting 9 hours, I'm starting to feel it too and just need my sleeping baby back. He woke at 12.30 last night and he was up and down until 5am this morning when I gave in and put him in his cot and let him cry - there's absolutely nothing wrong with him , he just wants us there.
So ... What would you do ? Do you think he isn't ready for it yet or is he testing us ?
