I heard my babies heartbeat!!
it was amazing, i had my 15 week antenatal today and the midwife put the doppler on at first she couldn't find it so i had to get up and jump around!! then she put it on again and it was so fascinating i love it!!

everything else fine i now see her at 25 weeks and have my 20 week scan in the meantime.

I wish OH could have come and heard it, do you all take your OH's to see the midwife with you (or someone else) its just i was the only one in the waiting room on my own and thought it was common for us women to go on our own to these things.

It's great when you hear it isn't it!! I could have cried first time i heard it, was just so wonderful!!

My OH always comes with me to MW and scans, etc!

Yes its very emotional hearing your babys heartbeat, all the more real :D Thats great rusks

Hi Lisa,

OH never comes to antenatal checks but always come to scans.

Not really much for him to see when im having bloods, urine tested etc, plus it would be quite a bit of time off work.

I think its personal choice really but at the clinic I go to its mostly just the mummies in the waiting room.

So pleased you got to hear the heartbeat, isnt it lovely?

OH and Luke comes to scans and OH Hospital appointments with me, but the Midwife I go by myself if im on a good day or my mum comes on a bad day, as im not allowed out the house without someone.
But OH cant aford to take to much time of work with me beeing on the sick for so long

My OH has been to both of my midwife's appointments, but that's mainly because I'm wanting him to feel involved. He also came to the scan, and seems to be keen to keep on coming. His work is reasonably flexible though, so it's probably easier for him than other OH's. I guess at the end of the day it's up to us mummies lol. I've seen mainly mum's with OH's or their mum's when we've been to stuff. Years ago I had an internal scan and I went to that one on my own lol.

like you say its a lot of time off work all the time. my OH wouldn't miss the scans so thats the main thing. :cheer:

Yes they are the most important hun..the rest is fairly routine!
